घाटा वाली माँ का चमत्कार
मुगलों को खदेड़ने वाली दिव्य शक्ति
चित्तौड़ के बाद जब उदयपुर को मेवाड़ की राजधानी बनाया गया, तब इसके पूर्वी द्वार देबारी की रक्षा का जिम्मा 'घाटा वाली माँ' की कृपा और विश्वास के साथ हरावल सिरमौर देवड़ा सरदारों को सौंपा गया। मेवाड़ पर जब मुगलों ने हमला किया, तो उन्होंने इसी देबारी द्वार से उदयपुर में प्रवेश करने का प्रयास किया। उस समय दुश्मनों की संख्या देवड़ा राजपूतों की टुकड़ी से कहीं अधिक थी। संकट की इस घड़ी में एक टोली माँ की शरण में पहुंची और उनसे अरदास की। कहते हैं, तभी माँ की नाभि से हजारों मधुमक्खियों का झुंड निकला और मुगलों को कई किलोमीटर तक खदेड़ दिया।
